Rivas Llano is making his first Championship start. In 2024, he won World Amateur Golf Ranking events in Colombia and the Dominican Republic. Since finishing his collegiate career at Texas Tech University in 2009, he competed as a professional for over a decade before regaining his amateur status and returning to the World Amateur Golf Ranking in 2023. In a five-year period from 2001-2005, he won four individual and team South American Amateur Championship titles.
