Acevedo is making his second Championship start. In 2024, he won the Minnesota Golf Classic for Kent State University, finished runner-up in the Argentine Amateur Championship and 10th in the Puerto Rico Island Amateur. In 2023, he won two World Amateur Golf Ranking events in Argentina and finished fourth in the Argentine Stroke Play Championship.
