Campa is making his first Championship start. He has competed on the Underrated Golf Tour in each of the past three years and in both 2022 and 2024, he competed in the R&A Junior Open in Scotland. After the 2022 R&A Junior Open, he wrote in a social media post, “we might be from different countries, but we are all one golfing family.” In 2023 in Puerto Rico, Jean-Philippe Mehu became the first player representing Haiti to make the cut in the Latin America Amateur.
