Lacayo is making his fifth Championship start and is looking to become the first player representing Nicaragua to make the cut in the Latin America Amateur. He started his 2024-2025 season with Sacred Heart University with three top-10 finishes, including T-3 in the Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational in October. He won the Central American Junior Championship in Guatemala in 2023.
