Xavier is making his sixth Championship start. He has four top-15 finishes in the Latin America Amateur, including fifth-place performances in 2019 in the Dominican Republic and 2024 in Panama. In 2024, he won World Amateur Golf Ranking events in Brazil and Argentina and finished runner-up in the Brazilian Amateur as the two-time defending champion. He represented Brazil in the 2022 Eisenhower Trophy in France and the 2023 Pan American Games in Chile.
