Cristobal Del Solar of Chile has earned his PGA Tour Card for the 2025 season after finishing in the top 30 of the Korn Ferry Tour standings. He is just the third Chilean to earn his PGA TOUR membership through the Korn Ferry Tour, and the first since Mito Pereira did so in the 2020-21 season.
Del Solar, who competed in the Latin America Amateur in 2016 (T-24) and 2017 (T-12), had multiple highlights en route to finishing No. 14 in the standings, including his maiden Korn Ferry Tour win at The Ascendant in Colorado. He also made international headlines when he fired a 13-under-par 57 in the first round at the 2024 Astara Golf Championship in Bogota, Colombia. This round broke the record for the lowest round in the history of a PGA Tour-sanctioned event, and tied the Korn Ferry Tour record for lowest 18-hole score relative to par.
Del Solar has two PGA Tour starts in his pocket after two consecutive years of competing at the Mexico Open at Vidanta. But the 31-year-old will now compete full time on the PGA Tour this season for the first time in his career.
“I can say a bunch of words, but it's in there,” Del Solar said pointing at his heart after clinching his spot on the PGA Tour. “I can think of a bunch of words to describe it, but it's really deep. All the work we put in and just very happy it's paying off...I'm just happy that all the work that I've put in is paying off. [My] career is just starting from this point on. I want to be on the PGA Tour, I want to stay on the PGA Tour, and I want to be one of the best players in the world, so this is just a start.”
